Attitude of High School Teachers towards Uniform System of Education as Related to Job Satisfaction Classroom Climate and Academic Achievement of Students in Trichy District

Abstract

The Uniform System of Education legislation of Tamil Nadu was passed in 2010. The standard of education in state board schools, Matriculation schools, Oriental schools, and Anglo-Indian schools were not uniform and each with its own syllabus, text books, and board of control. Hence the Government believed that developing a uniform system of school education in the state is necessary to ensure social justice and provide quality education in the state. Hence this study aimed to analyse the level of high school teachers Attitude towards Uniform System of Education, Job Satisfaction, Classroom Climate and Academic Achievement of Students. And also decided to find out the significant difference, if any, in (a) Attitude towards Uniform System of Education, (b) Job Satisfaction, (c) Classroom Climate and (d) Academic Achievement of students with Respect to Sex, School Locality, Residence, Medium of instruction, Teaching experience, Age limit, School type and Management type, to find out the significant relationship, if any, among the High School Teachers (a) Attitude towards Uniform System of Education, (b) Job Satisfaction, (c) Classroom Climate and (d) Academic Achievement of Students newline
