Tourism has contributed to increase awareness about conservation of
newlinethe environment and the cultural heritage. World tourism is considered as
newlinea significant factor in the economy of many nations. Today tourism
newlinerelated infrastructure in various parts of the country has improved the
newlinequality of life of the local people and helped to promote local arts and
newlinecrafts. Tourism is the fastest growing industry in modern world. People
newlinehave always travelled to distant parts of the world to see monuments, arts
newlineand culture, taste new cuisine etc. India s glorious traditions and rich
newlinecultural heritage are closely related with the development of tourism. Its
newlinemagnificent monuments attract a large number of tourists from all over
newlinethe world. The natural surroundings, the architectural masterpieces, the
newlinemusic, dance, paintings, customs and languages go to make India as
newlinetourist paradise. The tourism business, unlike numerous industries, is a
newlinecomposite of numerous service providers. These facility providers are
newlinegenerally in the Private sector. In addition, public sector institutions such
newlineas the national or state departments of tourism are involved in planning,
newlinedevelopment and management of tourism.
