F is a critical problem leads to disability. To study microbiological pattern of diabetic foot ulcers and the antimicrobial sensitivity pattern of the microorganisms. A total of 500 patients swabs were collected from foot ulcers by sterile methods and processed as per CLSI guidelines for Phenotypic and genotypic techniques. newlineThe Present study is the cross sectional study done during July 2017 to July 2019. Isolation and identification of microorganism were carried out by microbiological methods. Antimicrobial sensitivity test was performed by Kirby Bauer disc method and biofilm production was performed by the tube method and Congo Red Method. PCR RFLP assay was used to differentiate species and antifungal resistance pattern of the isolates. Mec A gene direction by PCR. Our study shows, patient age group ranged from 50 to 79 years and most patients was under the 70 to 79 years group. Most of the pathogenic isolate recovered according to Wagner classification system in DFU. The most commonly found isolates in our study was Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphyloccus aureus, Escherichia coli, followed by others. Antimicrobial resistance apperar in aerobic, anacrobic as well as candida isolates in our study. Our results show most GNB were sensitive to colistin and tigecycline and 49% of GNB were ESBL producing and among 29% of GN isolates were Multidrug resistant (MDR) organisms. newline newline
