Abstract
The present study on the modification of landscapes in Chaliyar river basin, Kerala
newlineis carried out in an environmental historic perspective. The study analyse the production of
newlinemajor landscapes and their modification in the basin. The study also try to analyse the
newlinerelationship between power relations of production with the production and modification of
newlinelandscapes.
