Most of the packaging materials are prepared from the polymers and their derivatives newlinewith a concern to the environment after disposal. Therefore, a huge time and money have newlinebeen scarified by the scientific community in search of a suitable low cost material for newlinepackaging. Moreover, they are trying to modify the plastics with bio-based materials for newlinemaking them biodegradable packaging materials. The use of natural biopolymers also newlineintroduces the biocompatibility to the materials. But biopolymers are poor in mechanical newlineand gas barrier properties. Hence, these are not competent to with the synthetic polymers newlinein their neat form. Therefore, physical or chemical modification of the biopolymer is newlineurgent need of investigation. Another issue is related with the mechanical strength and newlineflexibility of the packaging materials in producing effective packaging materials. In newlineconnection to this, polymeric materials are used as hybrid composites with proper newlinereinforcements. As compared to the micron-sized reinforcement, nanostructure materials newlinehave offered unique physical and chemical properties to the composites and it is because newlineof their high aspect ratio as well as polar surface functionality. newline newline
