Energy benchmarking of industrial processes and equipment is important for newlinesetting efficiency targets and planning energy management strategies. The newlineincrease in oil prices and the global warming problem have resulted in an newlineincreased emphasis on energy efficiency. Industries are interested in energy newlineefficiency to control costs and ensure competitiveness. Analysis of the gap newlinebetween the existing industrial process and energy modeling will help to set newlinetargets or benchmarks and provides improved energy efficient performance. Now newlinea days domestic refrigerators are modified as per the new technologies with better newlineperformances and should be energy efficient. Hence, the proposed research newlineactivity is targeting to energy-based modeling and benchmarking of heat newlineexchangers and its parametric analysis. For the same most of the researchers newlinetargets fin and tube type condensers to analyze the effect of geometrical newlineparameters and performance. However, they are unable to predict the energy newlineconsumption in case of fin and tube type of condensers. Further, the in previous newlinestudy a common fluid, water, was used to analyze the performance of heat newlineexchanger units. Hence, it provides good opportunity for the present research newlinework to investigate and analyze the heat exchanger model with different design newlineparameters and observe the performance for newly refrigerants. Therefore, in newlinepresent study R404A and R407C azeotropic refrigerants are considered and newlinecompared with the traditional refrigerants R12, R22 and R134a. Further, the newlinepreliminary design of proposed heat exchanger model is developed based on newlineTOPSIS approach considering multi-objective optimization and factorial design. newlineAlso, MATLAB program is developed to analyze the effect of different newlinegeometrical parameters on the performance of heat exchanger to predict j and f newlinefactor correlations. These correlations are further validated with the available newlinecorrections and experimental results. newlinevi newlineIt has been noticed that the pull-down time, power consumption, performance newline
