Abstract

A framed structure made up of Reinforced Concrete (R.C) is one of newlinethe important shelters which are used for the purposes of public, educational, newlineindustrial and commercial applications. The primary motive for choosing newlinethese structures is to safeguard the human lives and materials heavy weight newlineloads with long durability period and also subjected to take care of the newlineenvironmental effects. R.C structures are made up of materials which are newlinereadily available from the nearest resources and can be moulded into any newlinedesired shapes and sizes. The R.C frames are built using structural and non- newlinestructural elements. The main issue in this model is the presence of non- newlinestructural elements. The structural elements are designed with proper newlinegeometry details along with quality materials which are used to make the newlinestructure conforming to the standard. The important function of structural newlineelements is to transfer and distribute the loads to the other structural element newlinesuch as slab, beam and column. The nonstructural elements like infilled wall newlinewhich is not properly designed and does not react as structural member newlinebecause it carries only compressive force. Generally, R.C framed structure is newlinesubjected to more lateral load and less vertical load. So, the non structural newlineelement is very weak in lateral load and does not have interaction between the newlineframes and has less ductility when joined with structural element. newline
