Abstract
Process planning and production planning are two important
newlineactivities in any industries which are associated with the design and
newlinemanufacturing domains. Most of the industries manufacture and produce
newlinedifferent types of products in the same timeline for market survival. To meet
newlinethe demand of the customer, the industry must be performing process and
newlineproduction planning activities in a well-planned manner. Owing to the
newlinecomplex nature of machining parameters (Tool non-cutting movement, change
newlineof fixture setup, change of tool, change of machine, change of cutting
newlineparameters and tool indexing time) selection, the process and production
newlineplanning activities have to be performed in an effectively manner. However,
newlinethis particular task is a tedious one even the problem is attempted
newlineconventionally by an experienced process planner.
