A comprehensive study of massive Mimo antennas for portable Devices applications

Abstract

newline This thesis presents a comprehensive study of the design and newlinedevelopment of multiple input multiple output antenna systems for the usage in newlinefuturistic portable device applications. All upcoming portable devices newlineaccommodating a large number of antenna elements provide a variety of newlineservices such as routers, modems and terminals, automotive devices, and newlineindoor/outdoor usage of distributed Antenna systems. Due to this, the extension newlineof data rates has been achieved in these devices in recent years, However, based newlineon the Shannon theorem, the transmit power and bandwidth are directly newlineproportional to the data rate. In order to achieve an extremely high data rate, a newlinelarge number of antennas (MIMO configuration) have to be used along with newlineUWB and multiband technology which provides wide-band and multi-band newlineoperation. This ensures improvement in channel capacity without increasing newlinethe power newline
