Analysis of some endocrine disruptors using solid sorbents

Abstract

Owing to the hazardous effects of these endocrine disrupting chemicals on the environment and living beings, development of better materials and strategies for their ultra-trace analysis and efficient extraction from environmental matrices is a continuous practice. In the present method, some solid sorbents have been fabricated for the selective extraction and analysis of some phenols (m-cresol, 4-cumylphenol), phthalates (diethylphthalate) and metallic species (Pb2+ and As3+ ions). In addition, disposable pipette extraction is explored for the separation and quantification of some phthalates from their mixture and some environmental samples. newline
