Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Digital world technology has turned whole world into global village. It has helped human lives in many ways especially the activities of students. But its use only for entertainment purpose has serious implications on sleep Pattern, sleep Quality and Academic performance. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: To study the time spent in hours on social media and its impact on Sleep pattern, Sleep Quality and Academic Performance of College students. MATERIAL and METHODS: Descriptive analytical and prospective study was performed on 600 students of Malwanchal university students. It was a questionnaire based study. OBSERVATION and RESULTS: Low social network site users had a better sleep pattern, sleep Quality and Academic performance as compared to Average and High social network site users. CONCLUSION: Social network sites if not used judiciously have negative impact on Sleep pattern, sleep Quality and academic performance of college students.
