A Multiresolution Analysis for Graphical Color Image and Compression Using Hybrid Transform

Abstract

ABSTRACT newlineData compression is demonstrated to compress the size of information gathered in digital files. We have proposed a Bitmask and BCH compression technique to compress the size of image while keeping the decompression overhead minimal. In adaptive lossless dictionary based image compression, when compression ratio is compared among dictionary based approach, Bose Choudhari and Hocquenghem technique and bitmask compression technique then bitmask approach is better than BCH technique and BCH technique is better than dictionary approach. More reduction of bit occurs in bitmask and BCH technique when both applied simultaneously. The main motive is to provide good compression ratio which minimize the testing space and time complexity. Bitmask and BCH techniques produce better improvement in compression efficiency without adding any additional functionality or area overhead. newlineThe Next proposed work is to achieve modifications in SPIHT algorithm. SPIHT is widely used in image compression and modification of SPIHT algorithm has an area of attraction for many researchers to improve its efficiency to the maximum extent. The other proposed work is Lossless Efficient Run Length Coding for grayscale image. The E-RLC method performs block wise compression of the whole image for better compression ratio. The proposed E-RLC algorithm is most powerful tool to use TIFF, GIFF, JPEG and textual which composes of efficiency and better compression. The E-RLC method will suitable for grayscale, monochrome images. To examine the performance of the Lossless and Lossy compression of images and to obtain high compression ratio for both lossless and lossy image compression. The proposed compression techniques will be compared with other existing methods in terms of acceptable CR. newline
