quotIn silico prediction of drugs solubility in lipid vehicle remains a difficult task. In the research newlinework, some factors have been identified to be helpful in predicting drug solubility using newlineselected excipients. These factors included the solubility parameter (and#948;), HLB value, partition newlinecoefficient, relative molecular mass (MW), Dielectric constant (and#949;), dipole moment (and#956;), fatty newlineacid chain length and saponification value. To the best of our knowledge, no information is newlineavailable in the literature on the usefulness of solubility parameter, required HLB (RHLB), newlineand required chemical type of emulsifiers or solubilization capacity for solubilizing vehicles newlineas criterion for the selection of surfactant/cosurfactant in the formulation development of newlineSNEDDS using Fenofibrate or Atorvastatin Calcium. The present study showed the newlineimportance of selecting a surfactant with the proper HLB for specific oils, as well as the type newlineof surfactant/co-surfactant.
