Abstract
Over the years the Food Supply Chain has encountered several challenges. From the harvesting stage until it reaches the consumer a significant portion of food gets wasted in the supply chain. The food industry is an important sector of any economy and demands attention. Because of its short shelf life the food supply chain is more challenging to manage than other supply chains. Recently Food Supply Chain Management has been getting attention from researchers and stakeholders. As a result this research study attempts to identify and analyze the growth barriers in the FSC in the Indian context. This research study identified four problems in the FSC and suitable methodologies were devised to address the problems.
