Abstract

newline he main objective of this research was to study the effect of traditional Yogasana and Pranayam on the physical, mental health and abdominal fat of women of Delhi. Therefore, for sample selection, first of all those women were contacted whose body mass index was higher than normal. For this study, the age limit of women was kept between 25 to 55 years. Data of only 143 obese women were included. Randomized method was used for the study. Experimental research has been used in this study in which data was collected by pre-post testing of the same group. Some asanas and pranayam were included in the practice of yoga. The compound program was scheduled hourly, 3 days a week. Three groups were held in a day, whose classes were held from 5 to 6 am and 6 to 7 pm and one class was held from 5 to 6 pm. There were 25 participants in each class.
