An Integrated Software Test Process Model and an Assessment Methodology for efficient Quality Management in IT Organizations

Abstract

software test process models have evolved over a period of time starting with the newlinedevelopment of test maturity model in 1996. we have studied all the software test process models in detail and have come up with an integrated software test process model which will include the key aspects of all the models and which will provide an improvement model to organizations who intend to improve their test processes sequentially and in a staged manner. also, we have developed three assessment models for assessing the compliance level of it organizations with respect their test process areas. the assessment rating would provide the organizations an insight into where they stand with respect to test process maturity compliance and where they need to improve. this assessment would help organizations to improve their test processes significantly which in turn will help them maintain world class standards in test process development, design, execution, implementation and assessment. newline newline
