Analysis of factors contributing to competitiveness of Indian auto component sector

Abstract

In this study, to start with, the origins and growth of the Indian auto-component sector newlinewere traced to develop an overall understanding about the industry. Further, extensive literature newlinesurvey was carried out to understand the concept of competitiveness and empirical study of the newlinesame. The outcome of literature survey was shared with industry experts and academicians and newlinetheir inputs were used for developing an initial model of competitiveness of Indian autocomponent newlinesector. Using data collected through structured survey, the theoretical model was newlinestatistically tested and suitably modified. newlineThe results of statistical testing were discussed in light of extant literature and industry newlinedata to develop better understanding of the final theoretical model. Further, limitations of the newlinepresent study are identified and based on the same, direction and scope of further research is newlinesuggested. newline
