newlineThe researcher made an attempt to develop emotional intelligence of M.Ed. teacher trainees with the help of a well structured programme. The main objectives of the studies were:
newlineTo study the level of Emotional Intelligence of M.Ed. teacher trainees.
newlineTo develop an Emotional Intelligence Enhancement Programme for M.Ed. teacher trainees.
newlineTo assess the effectiveness of Emotional Intelligence Enhancement Programme on EI of M.Ed. teacher trainees.
newlineTo assess the effectiveness of Emotional Intelligence Enhancement Programme on EI of M.Ed. teacher trainees with reference to gender.

newlineThe design is selected when it was not possible to make the group equal and assign sample randomly to the group in real classroom setting. The population of the present study was all the M.Ed. teacher trainees enrolled in the first year of 2019-21 at post graduate education Gujarati Medium course- M.Ed. College affiliated to Sardar Patel University. The sample for the study was selected using simple random sampling technique. The procedure of selection of the sample is as follows.
