Abstract
In this present time of industrialization and globalization many people do their jobs at night, so some modification of their life style can be done to prevent many health problems. Bhramari Pranayama, often referred to as the quotHumming Bee Breath,quot involves controlled breathing accompanied by a gentle humming sound. potential advantages of Bhramari Pranayama and its significance for mental wellness and sleep enhancement. Need has always been there to build up certain modalities for the Management of Nidra as Adharniya Vega. In the midst of such background an attempt is prepared to estimate the efficacy of Bhramari Pranayam in a series of patients suffering from Nidra as Adharniya Vega in shift workers. At the present time several Yogic practices, meditation, Pranayama etc. are playing important role in treating physiological and psychological problems. The ancient Indian Yoga text, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, describes six cleansing techniques. The objective of cleansing techniques is to purify and prepare the body for the practice of yoga postures, and meditation. Trataka is one of these techniques. In this study, ancient texts and contemporary research findings are analysed to gain a better understanding of Trataka. In this ambiguity situation Yoga especially Bhramari Pranayama and shat kriya s Trataka may help to rectify the errors in sleep pattern.
