Abstract
Retail Loans are getting popular day by day. A need of study was strongly felt regarding the causes underlying their popularity and a manifold increase in their volume in short span of time. Madhya Pradesh, with its varied geographic terrains, multiple economic scenarios, different cultural-historical-environmental diversities and its central location on the map, has a strong influence of Retail Loans on its growing and developing economy. Analysis of Retail Loan Schemes in Madhya Pradesh is a study and analysis of retails loan schemes in Madhya Pradesh at full length. It studies the nature of trend of each retail loan and tries to find out the factors which played a major role in its design, popularity and accessibility. The study is based on Secondary and Primary data analysis. The study period is from year 2007 to year 2019.
newlineThe analysis is done at three levels. At Level 1- Macro Level study - Trend and regression analysis of retail Loans at all India level with an aim to study the growth of retail Loans and find the cause and effect relationship between different factors causing the shape and slope of the trend has been attempted. It uses a secondary data i.e. databases from RBI for retail Loan and other databases from various other different official websites.
newlineLevel-2- Mid level study- pursues the trend of various Retail Loans in Madhya Pradesh from year 2014 to 2019 using secondary data obtained from State Level Banker s Committee, Madhya Pradesh with an aim to study performance of retail Loans in Madhya Pradesh. It also does an analysis of performance of all banks of Madhya Pradesh for various types of retail Loans for Priority and Non-Priority Sectors and ranks the popularity of different retail loans among different banks.
newlineAt Level-3-Micro Analysis- study- It uses a judgmental sampling technique for getting a sample of 1998 observations (retail loan) obtained from 1978 people.
