newlinewith growth just under 7% by 2015 Indian agriculture policy is aimed fundamentally at
newlineimproving food self sufficiency and alleviating lack of food through food distribution.
newlineGlobally, Commodity markets have occupied a very important place in the economic
newlinegrowth and progress of countries. The concept of organized trading in commodities
newlineevolved in the middle of the 19th century. The Forward Markets Commission (FMC), the
newlineregulator for the commodity futures market, was brought under the administrative control
newlineof the Ministry of Finance in September 2013.
