Abstract
The construction sector has interdisciplinary nature involving multiple concurrent activities carried out during construction of a project. There structures are constructed in compliance with laws and guidelines laid down as per the national or international standards so as to safeguard the safety of the occupants. Safety in the built environment is a paramount concern provided by the Government of every nation. Structural failures and collapses pose significant threats to a country both in terms of financial and lives of people. Human labour stands as a primary resource in construction operations and efficient management of personnel is crucial in reducing the accidents at the construction sites. Buildings structures are subject to various regulations and inspections throughout their lifecycle. Designers bear the responsibility to ensure that all facet of their projected construction design meets the minimum design. Necessary adjustments and revisions must be made well in advance to the building designs before obtaining the final approval.
