Wireless Sensor Networks Based Congestion and Delay Aware Secure Smart Parking Management System SPMS

Abstract

Modern trends and needs have recognized parking as one of the major areas for newlineresearchers to provide optimized solutions using existing technologies that can newlineautomate and manage the process of parking a vehicle efficiently in a secure and less newlinetime-consuming manner. Any such system can be named SPMS (Smart parking newlinemanagement system) and this is the aim of this work. The proposed SPMS is based on newlineWSN (Wireless sensor networks) utilizing the concepts of IoT (Internet of things), AI newline(Artificial intelligence), and D2D (Device-to-device communication) for better newlineperformance. All these technologies are explained in detail in the introduction section newlineof this report. The motivation is to reduce driver s frustration related to parking issues newlineand the unpredictability associated with it. Existing research has been studied and newlinementioned in the literature survey section of this report. In the later sections, the newlineproblem is identified paving the path for research objectives and methodology to attain newlinethese followed by possible outcomes and a broader scope of study of the work presented newlinein this report. newlineIn the first contribution of the thesis a novel hybrid FFA-ANN is proposed in the design newlineof a congestion and delay aware proposed smart parking management system. This newlinesystem is well trained for monitoring of vacant parking newline
