Abstract
The microwave bandpass filter is an indispensable part of communication systems, has the critical job of choosing the desired frequency, and has been used in both military and civilian fields. In recent years, the frequency spectrum is becoming congested due to the rapid growth of modern wireless communication systems. Single-band bandpass filters can t meet the need for precise spectrum division; therefore, multiband is becoming more and more of a focus for scientific research and exploration.
newlineIn this work, initially, coupled lines and bandstop units are utilized to realize a dual-band bandpass filters. Later, shunt coupled lines loaded with short/open circuited stubs along with stepped impedance stubs are utilized to design compact bandpass filters with low and high center frequency ratio. Finally, a frequency reconfigurable dual-band bandpass filter is designed using shunt shorted stubs and series transmission lines. Rogers RTduroid substrates are used for implementation of the proposed filter designs and all the filters are tested using Keysight vector network analyzer. The simulated and experimented results are in good agreement. The developed filters can be used for modern wireless communication systems
