There is a need to screen the overweight and obese children to rule out
newlinethe complications associated with obesity. School health nurse was appointed

newlinemass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), Hip circumference(HC) , waist
newlinehip ratio (WHR), and blood pressure and biochemical variables like, fasting
newlineblood sugar, postprandial blood sugar, Total cholesterol Triglycerides , high
newlinedensity lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, very low density lipoprotein and
newlinecholesterol /HDL ratio and the study also investigates the related variables
newlinelike their positive family history, physical activity level, eating habits
