newlineThe present work focuses on the knowledge-based expert system, AI technique(combination of Rules, Knowledge, image processing) to develop an automated die and punch tools design for the sheet metal forming operationsalong with fatigue analysis.
newlineAmongst the different manufacturing techniques such as welding, casting, machining and forming, the forming techniques have the highest shares in global manufacturing industries because of its versatile applications in automobile, aerospace, household equipment etc. sheet metal forming is a submodule of the forming process, includes a thin sheet of metal which is subjected to permanent deformation with the externally applied force using a punch-die set.
