Abstract

Environmental pollution is horrible problem around the world which induces many newlinehealth problems to all living things. It is an unfavorable alteration of our surroundings, newlinewholly or largely as a byproduct of man s actions, through direct or indirect effects of the newlinechanges in the energy pattern, radiation levels, and chemical and physical constitution and newlineabundance of organisms. Environmental pollution is a global problem and is common to newlineboth developed as well as developing countries, which attracts the attention of human newlinebeings for its severe long-term consequences. Pollution of water and air, radioactive waste newlineand chemical control, waste processing, and waste policy management are all topics that newlinefalls under the category of environmental quality and safety.Recent technologies are newlinesupporting to monitor the environmental pollution. IoT is one of the recent and cost newlineeffective contemporary technologies to design wireless sensor nodes. This thesis presents newlinefour contributions that are designed to provide security with energy balanced algorithms newlinefor monitoring environmental pollution. newlineThe first contribution proposes a customized clustering of IoT-WSN nodes (CCIN) newlinealgorithm. The proposed method is a three-phase procedure in which Node initiations and newlineauthentications are performed in the first phase. Identifying different nodes types and newlinelocations are carried out it the second phase. Routing finalization and environment newlinemonitoring is performed in the third phase. In CCIN the suitable Nodes are selected as the newlinecluster head, then each cluster head is allocated with a set of member nodes. newlineThe second contribution of Energy Aware State Change Routing Protocol (EASCRP) newlinemodel is designed to provide intra-clustering routing process and inter-clustering routing newlineprocess. EASCRP provides the algorithm for finding the shortest path between cluster newlinehead to cluster head, cluster head to member node. The algorithm is to provide power to newlineii newlineaware state switching and to handle node failures. EASCRP algorithm manages n
