Certain investigations on Performance of BLDC motor using PID Fuzzy logic and cascaded hybrid Controllers

Abstract

In recent years there has been active research in the area of power newlineelectronics and drives for establishing an efficient motor which lesser energy newlineconsumption The growth and development in industrial applications has newlineincreased energy prices which in turn has resulted in higher demands of newlinevariable speed motor drives Brushless DC BLDC motors are extensively newlineused in various home and industrial applications due to their significant newlineelectrical and mechanical features such as high torque to volume ratio high newlineefficiency and low moment of inertia Most of electrical drives do not provide newlinesignificant results in terms of accuracy but in certain drive applications it is newlinenecessary to include a control performance for tuning the parameters of the newlinemotor and loads during their operation Traditional constant gain controllers newlineapplied in variable speed drives provides insignificant results under newlineuncertainty nonlinear load conditions newlineThe control of BLDC motors has been carried out in both sensor newlineand sensor less mode but sensor less control approaches have been normally newlineused due to its cost effective factor The main limitations of sensor less newlinecontrol are mandatory need for control algorithms and more complex newlineelectronics newline newline
