Abstract
This research delves into the profound role of humanities in exposing the lies of world dictators, shedding light on the significance of individual freedoms and the right to life. It aims to explore the impact of tyrannical regimes on humanity, with a particular focus on the violence perpetrated against the subjects. By employing a multidisciplinary approach that combines political analysis, historical insights, and literary exploration, this study addresses the gaps in existing literature regarding the establishment and dynamics of dictatorship.
newlineThrough a systematic review of selected literary texts and analysis of secondary sources, including academic journals, books, and online resources, this research investigates the dehumanization of individuals under oppressive regimes, the sacrifice of freedom for mass ideology, and the failure to bear the responsibilities inherent in liberty. It reveals the strategies employed by opportunistic leaders to exploit public ignorance and construct dictatorial systems, often camouflaging them within societal norms such as culture and religion.
newlineFurthermore, this study highlights how six selected writers illuminate human rights issues by depicting the dehumanization of victims and distinguishing between totalitarianism and authoritarianism. It examines the narrative techniques employed across four literary genres-autobiography, historical fiction, oral testimony, and memoir-to amplify authentic voices in democratic protest and counter social and political injustices.
newlineUltimately, this research emphasizes the intolerable and unjust nature of political oppression under cruel dictators, advocating for group activity, identity development, and social change. It underscores the transformative power of collective action, storytelling, and the humanities in nurturing critical thinking, fostering understanding of democracy and history, promoting tolerance, and inspiring individuals to challenge the status quo.
