Abstract
The aim of this research endeavor is to develop and optimize injectable surface
newlineengineered Depofoam formulations loaded with Aminoglycosides-Antibiotics for the
newlineeffective treatment of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs). The primary objectives encompass a
newlinecomprehensive exploration of various facets of formulation development, spanning risk
newlineassessment, formulation design using Quality-by-Design (QbD) principles, surface
newlineengineering for enhanced performance, in-vitro characterization, formulation optimization
newlinethrough Design of Experiments (DoE), stability evaluation, and preclinical investigations to
newlineassess efficacy in animal models. This study embarks on a rigorous scientific journey,
newlinecommencing with an in-depth analysis of the research objectives.
newlineThe overarching aim of this research is to address the pressing clinical need for
newlineimproved therapeutic interventions in the management of UTIs, a prevalent and burdensome
newlinehealthcare issue globally. By leveraging innovative formulation strategies, the research
newlineendeavors to develop surface-engineered Depofoam formulations that offer prolonged drug
newlinerelease and enhanced efficacy against UTIs, ultimately contributing to improved patient
newlineoutcomes and reduced antibiotic resistance
