Abstract
The management of the inventory system becomes more and more important for
newlinethe enterprises in the real-life situations. Inventory consists of usable but idle resources.
newlineWhen the resource involved is material or goods, it is referred as stock or simply as
newline Inventoryand#8223;. In a broad sense, inventory may be defined as the stock of goods,
newlinecommodities or other economic resources that are stored or reserved in order to ensure
newlinesmooth and efficient running of business affairs.
newlineThe main objective of this thesis is to construct different types of display
newlineinventory models in both crisp and fuzzy environment and determine the decision
newlinevariables so as to maximize the average profit and minimize the average total cost.
newlineThe first chapter covers preliminary definitions and the literature survey
newlinepertaining to the crisp and fuzzy inventory models. The author has carried out the cost
newlineanalysis for the following display inventory models by comparing the crisp and fuzzy
newlineenvironment.
