dc.description.abstractThe modern wireless communication systems rely heavily on MIMO newlineantennas due to their unique qualities which include compact size, lesser newlineweight and ease of production. The MIMO technology is becoming more newlinewidely recognized as a crucial pre requisite for current and future newlinecommunication system. Several antenna units operating at the same frequency newlineare combined to create MIMO capable system to boost data transmission. newlineDesigning an efficient MIMO antenna involves number of challenges. The newlinecompact version of MIMO antenna design prioritizes space, with antennas newlinepositioned tightly with reduced coupling and correlation. This thesis examines newlinethe MIMO antenna design and analysis for wireless application. newlineThe proposed work started with the design of an Asscher shaped newlineMIMO antenna for wideband applications. The radiating patch with square newlineshape is altered using bevel cut corner concept. The overall dimension of the newlineproposed MIMO antenna is 67.5 x 35.2 x 1.6 mm3. The proposed antenna newlineresonates from 2.5 GHz to 6.4 GHz with a notch at 5.7 GHz significantly newlinecontributing WLAN, WiMAX, GSMA and Mid band 5G applications with a newlinebandwidth of 3.9 GHz. The MIMO antenna is fabricated on the commercially newlineaccessible FR-4 epoxy substrate with loss tangent of 0.02 and relative newlinepermittivity of 4.4. The Asscher shaped radiating patch loaded with CSRR, newlinepartial ground and a decoupling structure to improve the isolation between newlineelements makeup the suggested antenna. newline
