Abstract
Primarily the present study was carried out to throw light on the various psychological aspects between Amateur Golfers and Caddie turned Amateur Golfers. Secondly, the study will aid in understanding the mental toughness levels, golfers ability to adjust under different competitive situations and under varied training regimens and to gain insight of the mental picture of their own self-concept. The findings of the study will aid in addressing the challenges posed to the amateur golfers and caddie turned amateur golfers. Moreover, the findings of the present study will help in understanding how both the groups have differed and unique challenges and perceptions of different training regimens and what program is more suitable for a particular group. This study will be also helpful to physical education teachers, and golf coaches with regard to their understanding of mental toughness and self-concept amongst golfers. The study may provide insights into the psychological aspects of golfers from a unique perspective and further lead to potential developments in this field.
