Abstract

The study on physico-chemical parameters has been carried out on Sidhmukh feeder canal to check the quality of the water samples. This is done to know the status of the water whether it is suitable for agriculture purpose and to create the awareness among people. A comparative study on the pre and post monsoon physico- chemical parameters for two years 2020 and 2021 has also been made to observe the changes in various physical parameters and metal ions. In this study various parameters like Temperature, pH, Total hardness, Total alkalinity, EC, DO, BOD, Chloride, Bicarbonates, Sulphates, Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium and Calcium are analyzed using different methods. Chapter one discussed about the introduction of basic Water which is used for drinking and for domestic purpose must be highly pure, free for any micro-organism. Chapter Second discussed the literature review. Chapter three discussed the materials and methods which are used throughout the thesis water samples were collected post and pre monsoon for two years for analyses the various physio-chemical parameters and harmful chemicals. Chapter four gives the tables and figures of the analysis for the results i.e. For critical evaluation of subsurface water quality, it is necessary to feature out the important properties of the ground water required for the plant growth and their reasonable concentration. Chapter five discussed the concluded the analysis of the thesis, this chapter conclude that during, and after the 2020 2021 monsoon season, water samples were collected from the Feeder Canal at various sites. Clean polythene bottles were used for the integrated sampling procedure. From August 2020 through Sep 2021, samples were taken every three months, once from each of nine separate sites spaced 300 metres apart. There was a pre-monsoon season, which lasted from July to September, a monsoon season, which lasted from October to December, and a post-monsoon season, which lasted from January to March. Surface water samples from the Feeder Canal and the grou
