Abstract

The thesis is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter deals with the introduction of the topic and also outlines the quick overview of the topic. The second chapter would deal with the historical development with regard to victims of crime and would also highlight the newlineimpact of crime on victims. The third chapter would deal with the role of different agencies toward the victims of crime. The fourth chapter would highlight the present position of victims at different stages of criminal justice administration. The fifth chapter would deal newlinewith the position in United States of America and United Kingdom with respect to victim justice. The sixth chapter would outline the importance of restorative justice in repairing harm, the importance of victim impact statement and the relevance of compensation as a tool newlineof restorative justice.
