Evaluating Optimal Trust Paths with Enhanced Privacy Protection in Online Social Networks

Abstract

Humans build groups and organizations based on the relationships they develop within their communities. People from different social groupings are interconnected on a global scale (such as families, neighborhoods, communities, workplaces, educational institutions, sports teams, etc.), and their ability to interact with one another is facilitated by the web of ties that holds them together, or a social network. If an individual has a common interest with a stranger, he may be able to build a bond with them via a shared online community. Users want to bring the relationships, information sharing, and social activities of their offline social networks online with them so that they may continue to do so even when they are separated from the members of their online groups. Online Social Networking sites have made it possible for them to do so (OSNs). These are online platforms that promote the development of various networks via the use of social interactions. Online Social Networking Services (OSNSs) are websites that facilitate communication among a wide group of people by allowing them to upload, download, and share various types of content. newlineOSNs are utilized for a variety of purposes, the most common of which include online shopping, banking, the payment of bills, and referral services. Participants in online social networks must consider trust while making decisions, and a number of trust management techniques have been developed to address this issue. According to newlinevi newlinesocial psychology, in our real society, people value recommendations from their close friends more than those from strangers. Although there is currently no comprehensive Social Network based, Trust-Oriented service recommendation system, it has grown in importance as a study area recently. The prediction techniques that are used between users in OSNs who are not directly related to one another need to be improved, and a trust prediction method that has a reasonable design would be an excellent place to begin.
