Abstract
The urbanization growth depends on the description of the population
newlinedensity whereas the growth of population directly disturbing the environment for
newlinedevelopment, suburbanization and social changes of people. Urban growth leads
newlineto the outcome of shrinking agriculture and forest land and substantial impact on
newlinethe land and coastal ecosystem. Henceforth, the regular studies on urban sprawl
newlinegrowth modeling and analysis are needed for providing better urban growth and
newlineensure the ecological urban development.
newlineUrban growth can be measured from indicators such as annual urban
newlinespatial expansion index, annual land use change index, Population density index,
newlinetransportation infrastructure expansion index, road density index and road area
newlinedensity index by analyzing the land use and land cover. Urban sprawl refers to the
newlineurbanization extent, which is mainly caused by population growth and large scale
newlinemigration.
