dc.description.abstractEnergy is required for industries and day-to-day activities of a person. Energy is used in newlinedifferent forms. Out of all the forms of energy, electrical energy is the most useful one as it newlinecan be produced in bulk in power plants, transmitted efficiently and utilized at low cost. newlineDemand is increasing day-to-day but the resources are limited, hence power stations, newlinetransmission lines, substations etc. need to be upgraded. Erection of new lines take more time newlineand cost involved is more. Also, power plants are not constructed near cities. Hence, there is newlinealways loss in line due to log transmission. So, power system generally operates close to newlinecritical limits considering different constraints and supply power at desired voltage at low newlinecost to the consumers
