Abstract
For the past few decades, organizations are treating man power as a valuable
newlineasset. In today s dynamic environment the companies very well acknowledge the
newlinefact that Happy workers are productivity workers . Since, a direct correlation has
newlinebeen observed between job satisfaction and productivity; the modern
newlineorganizations are leaving no stone unturned to ensure job satisfaction. Job
newlinesatisfaction can be defined as a positive feeling or attitude of an individual
newlinetowards his/her job. When an employee says that he/she highly satisfied form
newlinehis/her job, it denotes that the person values his/her job, feels good about it and
newlinelike it. Creating job satisfaction has been considered as an important technique to
newlinemotivate employees to work harder.
newlineBoth public and private sector banks are no exception in this regards. Banking
newlinesector is considered as the back bone of any economy. The importance of human
newlineresource management increases with regards to the fact that, besides being
newlineincluded in the service industry, banking has always been considered as People
newlineBusiness.
