Abstract

The present doctoral thesis studies doctoral research in the Library and Information Science discipline with particular reference to Panjab University, Chandigarh. The lack of access to government documents did not permit the study of government policies and programmes in promoting doctoral research in the Library and Information Science discipline at the national level, in general, and at Panjab University, Chandigarh, in particular. newline
