An efficient spatial mining approach for predicting moving vehicle location and colocated objects

Abstract

Spatial Data Mining SDM is the application of data mining technique to discover interesting and previously unknown patterns in spatial databases The moving object is defined as the continuous evolution of a spatial object over time along the lifespan of the object In SDM the prediction of moving objects location is based on their spatial and temporal information which is a significant task in several applications such as wireless based locationaware devices sensor network and traffic analysis The need for analysis modeling and processing of traffic data is more concern as the amount of moving vehicles is increasing rapidly every day In transportation system vehicle location prediction is one of the important challenges for avoiding traffic congestion Different methods were proposed for vehicle movement detection and prediction process but still there exists some setback in predicting the vehicles location exactly newline
