Every culture throughout the history has evolved a system of disease therapy using herbs. Nature has provided a vast materia medica originated from plants. Recently, there has been an increased interest in the use of natural medicines presumably due to their relatively higher availability, affordability, and the perceived lower risk compared to synthetic drugs.
