Abstract

Micro business enterprises become a major force in furthering the process of rapid newlineindustrialization in India. The small business enterprises have emerged as a vibrant and newlinedynamic sector of Indian economy since independence. With the twin objectives of newlineemployment and expansion, the small scale business enterprises were highly emphasized newlineconsistently in all the successive Indian policy resolutions. The industrial resolution 1948 newlineemphasized cottage and small scale industries particularly suited for better utilization of local newlineresources and achievements of local self-sufficiency in respect of specific industrial newlineproducts.1956 resolution initiated measure to build the competitive strength of small and newlinevillage industries. One special characteristic of small business enterprise is that they cannot newlineprovide full time employment to workers, but instead can provide only subsidiary or part time newlineemployment to agricultural laborers and artisans. Among traditional village industries, newlinehandlooms possess the highest labor productivity, besides handlooms make a significant newlinecontribution to earning foreign exchange for the country. Now a day Indian small business newlineenterprises are mostly modern small business enterprise. Modernization has widened the list newlineof products offered by this industry. newline
