dc.description.abstractThe thesis is a comparative study between the competition laws of three eminent jurisdictions viz., India, European Union and United States of America with specific aspect of PREDATORY PRICING. The researcher has basically thought of critically analyzing the concept of predatory pricing under the Indian competition law and has also termed it as an irrational strategy from various aspects. To carry out such analysis, the researcher has taken EU law and USA law into consideration. The reason why EU law has been taken is that the Indian Competition Law is much based on EU law however few changes were made considering the notion of the difference of being developed and being developing. For instance, EU recognized collective dominance while India recognized only unilateral conduct due to which researcher feels that recognizing dominant position in India is much different from the one in EU. Considering USA as the third jurisdiction is entirely based on the fact that its law and theories related to predatory pricing are much developed and experienced. Hence, pros and cons of the essentials of predatory pricing can be widely understood by reading the judgments delivered by US SC or by FTC. The researcher has also discussed three related concepts such as Margin Squeeze and Predatory Pricing , Predatory Pricing in E-Commerce Market and International Predation .
