Abstract
Liquid crystals have become a very important field of research over the last several
newlinedecades because of their various scientific and technological applications. Moreover, they
newlineconsume very small amount of energy when they change their state under external factors
newlinesuch as temperature, mechanical stress, electric and magnetic fields etc. Besides, the
newlineliquid crystals have many biological aspects also. Liquid crystals are mainly found
newlineapplications in display technology and other modern electro-optic devices also.
