Abstract
Cloud computing is a platform using which users can access various business and information technology services provided by third parties. Data transfer over the internet, with the help of the cloud, has been beneficial for the users. Using the Internet, consumers can process, store, and access their data on the cloud with minimum resources. Cloud enables data availability, scalability, computation, on-demand access to a shared pool of resources. In this scenario, data security and privacy raise a big concern and is of utmost importance. Cloud computing adds a level of risk as data is outsourced to a third party. Trust issues raise over data protection and prevention techniques used in it. Sensitive files are needed to be transferred securely. Various companies and users are concerned over their data transfer, data location, authenticity, and amount of control of what gets shared over the cloud. A secured method for authentication check and data encryption-decryption is needed for secured file transfer in a public domain environment. The study reviews various issues and challenges in traditional security techniques and aims at enhancing the security of user s information and data in a cloud computing environment. The research work is done for comparative research analysis of existing cryptographic techniques and implements different algorithms for the authenticity and security of data. The proposed algorithms provide double-layered data security in a geographically partitioned scenario and exhibit good performance. Experimentation has been conducted on various text files.
