Aim: newlineTo assess and evaluate the antifungal properties of chitosan nanoparticles newlineinfused with probiotics to manage oral candidiasis. newlineMaterials and methods: newlineThe synthesis of chitosan nanoparticles and their subsequent loading with newlineprobiotics was carried out after ethical clearance. The antifungal activity was newlineevaluated through in vitro experiments utilizing Candida strains that are newlinesignificant for oral candidiasis. Different concentrations of chitosan newlinenanoparticles and formulations loaded with probiotics were examined to newlineassess their effectiveness. The antifungal properties were assessed using microbiological assays, specifically agar diffusion and minimum inhibitory newlineconcentration (MIC). To evaluate the effectiveness of the newly formulated newlinedrug, a total of 20 patients with chitosan were treated for the study, 10 patients newlinewere treated with the newly formulated drug, and 10 patients were treated with newlineconventional clotrimazole mouthwash. A systematic protocol was employed newlineto synthesize chitosan nanoparticles and subsequently load them with newlineprobiotics. The antifungal activity was assessed using in vitro tests with newlineCandida strains that are relevant to oral candidiasis. The efficacy of various newlineconcentrations of chitosan nanoparticles and formulations containing newlineprobiotics was evaluated. The antifungal capabilities were evaluated utilizing newlinemicrobiological techniques, specifically agar diffusion and minimum inhibitory newlineconcentration (MIC) tests. newlineResult: newlineThe study demonstrated a notable fungicidal impact of chitosan nanoparticles newlinecombined with probiotics against oral Candidiasis. In conclusion, the newlinecombination of chitosan nanoparticles and probiotics shows potential in newlineeffectively combating oral Candidiasis by inhibiting fungal growth. This novel newlinemethod offers a promising strategy for creating therapeutic treatments for oral newlinecandidiasis by utilizing the combined benefits of chitosan and probiotics to newlineeffectively combat fungal infections.
