Yogasiddhantacandrika ka samiksatmaka adhyayana

Abstract

Yoga Siddhanta Sanskar is the basic text on Yoga Sutras. It is a direct explanation of Yoga Sutras. This text is called Gudharth yostaka because it reveals the deep meanings of Yoga Sutras. This is such an explanation in which Hatha Yoga is presented along with Raaj yoga. Narayan tirtha has followed Hatha Yoga while describing Pranayama and Aana without abandoning Raaj yoga and has clarified his opinion with mythological quotations. newlineWhile defining Yoga in the first chapter, all the commentators have called the concentrated and restricted land of consciousness as Yoga, whereas Tirtha has considered the concentration of the Rasguna and Tamoguna of consciousness as the restraint of the force of Yoga. Nirodh means the ultimate result of consciousness and the cessation of tendencies. The Yogi with Nirodh is said to be of two types Yukt and Ayukt. The Yukt Yogi desires salvation and the Ayukt has an unwise mind and wants to achieve success from both destinies. newline newline
