A Study of Self Concept Emotional Intelligence and Academical Achievements among Sportsperson

Abstract

The present study deals with the comparison of self-concept, emotional intelligence and newlineacademical achivments of male and female sportsperson and male and female nonsportsperson newlinetheir age ranged between 18 to 25 years who were participated at university level. Only newlinepsychological variable for present study like self-concept, emotional intelligence and academical newlineachievements scale was selected. The data was collected with the help of self-concept, emotional newlineintelligence and academical achievements scale adopted by aunukool hyde et. al. This Inventory newlineprovides five Self Concept scale viz. Self Concept, Human Behavior, Self Effectiveness, newlineThinking Patterns, Emotional Excitement, ten emotional dimensions, viz. self awareness newlineempathy, self motivation, emotional stability, managing relations, integrity, self development, newlinevalue orientation, commitment and altruistic behavior and Academic Achievement. newlineIn this study total 150 male and 150 female sportsperson and 150 male and 150 female newlinenon-sportsperson were randomly selected who had participated university level tournaments newlinebelongs to pune university region. newlineThe data was treated statically by employing t test to determine the significant of selfconcept, newlineemotional intelligence and academical achivments status between male and female newlinesportsperson and male and female nonsportsperson. newline
